Hi, I’m Dale Shafer, founder of Life Moves Wealth Management, an independent, fee-only firm in Scottsdale, AZ, serving business owners and entrepreneurs. Creator of the B.O.S.S. Method™ (Business Owner Strategic Success).
Entrepreneurs are “my people” because they are often ignored by advisors who don’t understand them, and aren’t prepared to help them until they are ready to sell their business or have “enough” money to manage. I’ve created a better way to provide financial advice that actually helps!
I am proud to hold professional designations, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®), Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC®), and Accredited Portfolio Management AdvisorTM (APMA®).
My wife is a total gem – her name is Melisa. We married in 2010 and have four children, three of whom are currently in college in three different states. And, we welcomed our “next-gen” kid to our family in April 2021.
I’m a big believer in being a contributor to my community and not just a consumer of resources. I’m active in Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Club (President 2022-2023), graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 38 “Best in State”, and through my non-profit, Scottsdale Community All-Stars.
Out of the office, I am most likely found exploring outdoors, hiking, road cycling, and camping. You might also see me rocking out behind a drum kit or a guitar.
I enjoy reading books on finance and leadership, and collecting deadpan “dad jokes” to try out on our kids. They’re big fans.
